SHI recently completed an upgrade project on our kitchen. They installed granite countertops, new tile backsplash, a built-in desk with an new overhead cabinet, under cabinet lighting, and some interior cabinet amenities. They also freshened up our pantry. Upon us being ready for work to begin, the project took off quickly. Within a few days, the entire project was complete except some final touch-ups and we were INCREDIBLY pleased with the work, the daily communication, and the pleasant disposition of the employees. Unfortunately, one of the employees did not re-hook the dishwasher up properly and we belatedly discovered that our laminate floor was destroyed by water seeping in beneath. Because of so many bad experiences in the past, I did extensive research on whom we would hire for this work in order to increase the likelihood that, should something go wrong, we would be properly taken care of and WE WERE! Immediately, SHI took ownership of the mistake and promised to make it right. Unfortunately, we were not able to replace the same flooring due to unavailability and so they offered an upgraded tile floor. We were able to choose the tile we wanted, and now have a beautiful procelain floor that really enhances the work that they had already done. It is unfortunate when things go wrong, but we all make mistakes. What makes a good company is one that takes an error and converts it into a loyal customer. We not only recommend SHI to anyone, but also we plan to have them remodel our master bath later this year.
