The best part of the of the gym is the friendly front desk staff and that it is extremely clean. Great week end hour but horrible weekend hours. Sales person Mike on the other hand hasn't said a word to me in the year since the day I began working out there. A real downside to this gym is the business practices of management who can't seem to meet published deadlines/announced opening dates after losing there previous downtown Raleigh lease. The Glenwood location can take 5 minutes just to get turned around on busy road way at one of the near stop lights. For such a large space this location can still feel cramped no matter how long it takes you to get there. Forget parking after five o'clock. This feeling can be due to the practice of the trainers who are over possessive of equipment. This makes the annual up-grade fee a scam if they hide equipment like cattle bells from general use. One trainer (silver haired guy) in particular works out a group of older gentlemen in the slowest manner possible monopolizing whole areas of the gym floor. His standard practice is to put his drink on one machine, have a client on another, and then a bag in between two more machines. This is highly disruptive for persons trying to get in and out of the gym in a reasonable time frame and/or focusing the same body area in which there is limited equipment.
