The wife & I were 4x4 last year on Imogene Pass elevation 13,114') and having a blast enjoying the view and hike. Got back to my 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser and it would not start, just kept turning over. Up until then I had never had ANY issues with this truck, but late afternoon and skies starting to darken - we had a problem. Up drives a Jeep and out steps Stan Vollenweider, has me turn it over, breaks out his rubber mallet and bangs on the skidplate just below fuel tank and it started-up. Pulled my rear out of the frying pan then explained I needed to replace my fuel pump asap, which I did and not another problem since. Thanks again Stan -- I would trust you with anything on 4-wheels!
