I walked out and saw my car in the process of being towed, meaning which the truck was outside my car and had a jack on it (NOT FULLY HOOKED UP). There were two guys and they refused to let me go even though my car was not attached to their truck. They told me I need to pay a drop fee, which is $125 CASH to get my car back. Being an girl of 20 and not knowing towing rules I believed them and traveled to the closest QT to get cash. However, when I was researching on the tdlr website the car must be fully ""hooked up"" meaning that the car must be fully erect and attached to the truck and about to leave the property for a drop fee. If it's not attached, like mine, a dropped fee is NOT REQUIRED. On top of that, they must accept a drop fee as CASH, CREDIT, or DEBIT, not just CASH. I was completely scammed and will fully bring them to court for this.
