NOT RECOMMENDED. Several years ago, California Energy Services installed an HVAC unit in our attic. They failed to remove the unit?s condensation plug, so the first very hot day of the summer, we discovered water dripping from our living room ceiling caused by a constant stream of water spilling directly out of the unit into our attic. The owner?s response to the 4 foot long crack in our ceiling dripping water? ?The crack was probably already there; you just didn?t notice it.? The owner did have the plug removed and the yellow water stain on our ceiling painted. (The crack is still visible.) He did not offer to address the large water spot on our couch.
