HST has been in business since 1993 servicing tens of thousands of customers in the Mid Atlantic region. With regards to the comments posted online regarding termination of an agreement. Our customers have options when they install a security system. If they would like to get a system installed and pay very little or no money down they would be obligated to a specified term in the agreement. Just like any other product your purchase that has payment terms. If they decide to terminate the agreement, they can move the system to their new residence at no charge as long as the system has been installed for more than 2 years. They can have the new owners assume the responsibility and transfer the agreement or they can pay for the balance of the agreement less a discount as stated in the agreement, or if they have experienced a documented financial hardship, in LOTS OF CASES, we have just removed the equipment and released them from any future obligations. We are very sorry that a few customers do not see the investment made by the company and after they have enjoyed the use of the system decide that the company has not treated them fairly, when they decide to sell their home and leave the company no option to resolve the balance of the payments. I would be more than happy to have any of them come into our design center so we can sit and talk and try to work out an equitable end or termination to this agreement. We were noted in 2011 as Best of the Best in a nationally public magazine as well as a winner of the PDQ award. We will be happy to sit and work with them, but the resolution has to be equitable.
