I brought my 1988 Chevy S10 in to get further repaired (I literally bought it for $500 and it only had 61K miles at the time, but it's still an old truck and needed some work). Despite having virtually no understanding of mechanics, David, the man who handled the front-end, patiently worked with me to make sure he knew what it is I wanted done with my truck.
What's more, they did a full diagnostic and found a few things that could use some attention. What I fully appreciated was the price quotes and the priority suggestions as to what was more serious and what could wait (I only had so much in savings). That helped a lot.
The time it took to get everything done was amazing. While it is understandable that some repairs just take longer, I was still very pleased with the quickness of the work. My girlfriend also had her car being worked on at the same time at Robertson Automotive and David kept me up-to-date on both vehicles (this is due in part to my girlfriend's inability to use her phone at work), making communication easier. During my wait, I was given rides twice so I could meet with my girlfriend for lunch and later to be brought back to the shop when my truck was finished.
The mechanic(s) made repairs and replaced needed parts wonderfully. My truck does feel to have better performance and I feel confident that it will last several more years before age simply catches up with it. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of the work.
After picking up my girlfriend from work so she could get her car (which had been finished with shortly after my truck was done), part of the plastic under-cover below the engine was hanging loosely - it wasn't like that when it was brought in. When it was pointed out, David took personal responsibility for it and the matter was very quickly resolved.
David informed me about the special warranty deal regarding any and all work done on my truck and about the email updates and possible discounts. The entire relation with David was friendly and professional. He took the time to do his best to make sure I knew what was going on with my truck during their inspection. I felt that he and the mechanics truly cared to make sure I knew what was up...I wasn't just shuffled through. I felt they wanted to get the job done and done RIGHT. I think the performance of my truck proves that.
David mentioned that he has a goal of rising to the top 5% in performance as an employee, and his genuine customer service was, I think, exceptionally worthy. I think anyone would be pleased to have him as a correspondent.
I will definitely be returning when I can afford the additional repairs I need to see to.
