I wanted to like it. I really did. Tonight was the first time my wife and I decided to get a bit fancy and go to Carvers. Our expectations were naturally very high considering price. It was a Friday night which is when fine restaurants typically bring their A game. We both ordered Prime Rib, which is usually the safest bet that you'll get a cut that is very tender almost now matter where you dine. Well guess what. My wife's medium rare 8 oz came to her well done and rife with gristle. My 11 oz had the texture of a skillet ham steak. I had to saw at it with my knife. You're not supposed to have to saw at a prime rib, especially when you expect to drop a C note for couple dining.
