My insurer Amica had previously agreed to pay a certain price to replace my roof due to wind and hail damage. I obtained estimates from several Angie's List companies. Mike Hopkins of H&S Roofing impressed me as being the most knowledgeable and thorough among them. He clarified several options open to me, and also worked well with an inspector hired by my insurer. The subsequent bid/proposal from H&S was within my insurer's guidelines. I arranged for them to install grey-white tiles with an Energy Star rating that didn't cost any more than others by the same company; I also ordered a rigid roof vent though I wasn't sure if my insurer would cover that (they didn't, but it was only $240). The roofing crew worked quickly and mostly carefully, though I later found quite a bit of old roofing material on the floor of my attic. Overall I'm very pleased with the finished product.
