I lived in Lynnwood for about a year, I got the resident I took over for's deposit transferred to my lease. The carpet in my room (as well as throughout the house) was already decently trashed; as the end of my roommates and I's lease neared, the owner told us that if we could move out by a certain early date, all damage to the carpet would be paid for. We went to troubling effort to get moved out by that date. The cleaners jumped the gun, 'took' my roommate's ipad and other stuff, and he had to go through real trouble getting his things back. Now I'm getting calls and threatening sounding text messages saying that I owe several hundred dollars for new carpet. I'm going to go on the record saying that the yard keeping duties the front office promised were never taken care of. Our lawn never was watered, and seldom mowed. Also, when I signed the lease for my $300/month rent, the website and office still advertised included bus services. The bus service that was supposedly included in the $300 didn't happen, but the rent remained the same. The plumbers came from time to time throughout the year, and never fixed the problems. The owner is no longer there, but he gave us the offer of carpet damage forgiveness before we moved out. Therefore I will not pay the fee, and I feel inclined that when anyone asks me about Lynnwood to strongly suggest they take their business elsewhere.
