Very disappointed with A-Best's service. We (roommate and I) rent a house, and our washer flooded two small rooms, one of which is carpeted. I called after hours (about 8pm) and they sent someone over within about 1.5 hours. He was very considerate and helpful that first meeting. We were told it would take a week total to dry and replace everything needed. It took 4 weeks. Again... two SMALL rooms, only one with carpeting to replace. Many times, actually most of the time, the guys would no-show for appointments they made, we requested a billing statement initially and did not receive one for 2.5 weeks, the price we were quoted was often construed because we ended up getting passed through 3-4 different guys before the job was finally finished, and they even had Collections Dept call us the final week despite 3-4 attempts on our part to give them payment (again, their guys no-showed to pick up checks/finish work). There was no communication as to why the delay, until we finally asked that final week, and were given two very different answers. All but one of the guys seemed very young, and most lacked professional courtesy (i.e. showing up for appointments or at least calling ahead to cancel/reschedule, adhering time frames, communicating when and why there are delays, etc). We thought for sure that when we said ""We want to pay you, please send us a written statement and let us know when you can come finish the restoration so you can also pick up your payment"", that would prompt a better response and get them to actually show up for scheduled times. Not so. Very disappointed since they had such a good BBB rating.
