I was referred by my typical vet to ASG because my 11 y/o cat had early signs of hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease) and since he wasn't eating or drinking, he needed to be on fluids ASAP. When I first arrived, I was immediately helped by the nice receptionist and then an ambivalent vet tech. \r
The tech listened to my story, but hardly made eye contact - which made me even more stressed than I already was. She then took my baby back, came back a few minutes later and handed me an empty carrier, said they would come and get me in a few and walked away. At this point, I wasn't that impressed with the bedside manner - but it was imperative my baby get treatment immediately and since it was after hours, I had little choice. \r
When the ER doc saw me, she was much nicer than the tech, listened attentively and took notes on all the info I told her. She explained things nicely without condescending and we decided to proceed with an ultrasound to see what was going on. About 30 minutes and
