Questionable Business Practices 1/31/2012

Took my wife's car in to have a leaking radiator looked at. They took me on to work, and called later. Rhonda said it did look like a radiator leak, and they were removing the radiator to confirm. I asked how much for a new one, and she replied, "$250, out the door". I didn't think that was too bad. I called later, and spoke with one of the mechanics, and he said they were able to repair. I thought, "Great! Should shave about $100 off the bill!" He said Rhonda was out, and would call me as soon as she got back. She called later, and said it was $250. I asked if that was the new price, and she said no, it would be over $300 for a new one. I feel like they lied to me earlier, and then changed the proce when they were able to fix it. With this kind of work ethic, I am very concerned about the quality of this 'repair'. I will not be back, and definitely would not recommend this shop to anyone else. Steer clear! more
