Spent my first anniversary here. Been back many times over the years. Original owner was fantastic concerning quality and service. Decided to spend our 30th anniversary this year at Potpourri and totally regret it. This has been one of our favorite places to dine over the years. The decor hasn't changed much but the cleanliness and the service definitely has. Our children know how special this place has been to us and they purchased gift certificates to Potpourri a few years ago as an anniversary gift. These were bought directly from Potpourri and were bought at full price ($100). The dining experience was ok but as we tried to pay with the gift certificates, the new owner rudely stated that he would not accept them because they were purchased before he owned the restaurant then turned his back and walked away. Now, I have paper that cost $100 but is worth nothing. Unfortunate, because this was once a classy establishment that prided itself on service. Last time I checked, when you purchase an existing business, you acquire that business' debt as well. After 30 long years of visiting this restaurant, we will never go here again.
