Check out this oasis on Fort Street in Lincoln Park. They have an excellent selection of equipment and good prices. Paul, the guy who helped me, is an experienced diver who willingly answered every question I had. The best thing is that they've got a nice pool where you can try out whatever you're considering buying. Just take your suit and a towel. I went in January of 2012.
