First, I would like to tell you how thrilled I am with Doctor Kerr, his nurse Ashley and his staff. My skin no longer hangs around my neck ? my jaw line is firm and I have cute little eyelids for the first time in years. Am I happy? I am ecstatic. From the moment I entered the Synergy Plastic Surgery office I felt safe. An odd thing to say ? but I was getting nervous about surgery. Let me tell you my story.
I am 63 and was looking tired and saggy. My neck looked like a turkey and no matter how well I tried to take care of my skin since my youth - gravity still pulled it all down. My mirror told me I did not at all look like what I felt on the inside and as a technology professional and I wanted to do something so that people would stop asking me if I was tired. I was pleasantly surprised when Ashley contacted me right away and explained that the lifestyle lift only addresses the loose skin, not the underlying muscles and that style of lift typically does not last as long as a traditional face lift. She had my attention. She offered a complementary consultation with Doctor Kerr. Okay ? I am impressed because so far I had not talked to any doctor only sales people. I scheduled the appointment and met with Doctor Kerr. He answered all my questions and explained what a traditional face-lift was compared to what I was going to get ? and gave me all the warnings about surgery ? so nothing was hidden. In addition, to my great comfort, ? I was to be asleep during the procedure ? and it would take about six hours rather than one to three hours I was quoted before. Already I could tell the difference in the quality of service I would receive. If I selected Doctor Kerr?s procedure, the surgery would be done in my own local hospital. Now you see why I felt safe? For the first time I felt like I would be safe with under this doctors care. I scheduled my full-face lift with eyelids with Doctor Kerr that day canceled my other surgery in San Antonio. It was the best decision I ever made. My surgery was the week of Thanksgiving and Doctor Kerr and Ashley came in to see me even when their office was closed just to check on my progress. I am so happy I decided to go with Doctor Kerr in a hospital ? there were some negative surprises with my surgery so that it actually took eight hours rather than six. Doctor Kerr took his time through the challenges my body gave him and I am so happy he did. What would have happened if I had been awake under local anesthesia and not in a hospital? I am so grateful I did not have to find out. I am proud of my decision to have this surgery and I tell anyone who is interested what I had done and I feel secure in recommending Doctor Kerr and his staff to anyone interested in improving their appearance.
