Children's Orchard stores are all individually owned franchises. We sold some baby items to the Children's Orchard in Brunswick, Ohio. They give you a higher price for your items if you opt for a store credit rather than taking cash so that's what we opted for. A month later we went to do some shopping there planning on using our store credit and to our surprise we found that they went out of business with no information on the door about how customers could use their store credits. I called the corporate office and was only able to leave a message. When someone finally returned my call they said they didn't even know that the franchise owner had closed up her store and they would have to get back to me about my credit. I waited a week but didn?t hear back so I called again. They finally said there was nothing they could do for us and suggested we call another franchise owner to see if they would accept our store credit; I highly doubt they will honor it since they were not the ones who ""bought"" our merchandise. I think it?s a shame that the corporate office is not willing to send us a voucher that could be used at another Children's Orchard and that they have left us to fend for ourselves. This is bad business in my opinion!
