I was a dancer for Tammy Allen since the day I could walk. The Tammy Allen Dance Academy was the best thing that has ever happened to me. Not only are the classes fun, but educational and stress free. The directors of this studio know what they are doing and are capable of teaching in a way that does not place a burden on their dancers' shoulders. In their books, the dancers as people come first; this is something you will not find in other Rochester studios. Tammy and Julie's dancers have always been successful in their competition seasons and will continue to be this year. The greatest thing about this studio is that you will not only be a member of a team, but a part of a larger family. These dancers know how to have fun with their art and know when to crack down to business. If you don't believe me, drive past the studio today; you'll see the trophies and plaques that line the front window sill. All of which are from just this past competition season alone. Tammy, Julie and the dancers that this studio hold have become the most amazing people in my life. I have graduated and moved onto college, where I was placed on a Varsity Collegiate Level competitive dance team. All of the other girls I danced and graduated with are also either Dance Majors in their colleges or on their college's dance team. To say that you are not getting your money's worth from the Tammy Allen Dance Academy is an obscene statement. Tammy charges the least amount of money in the Greater Rochester area for dance instruction, she also focuses on keeping costume costs down. To call this studio unorganized, unprofessional or a joke is a great lie. The others who have written reviews didn't allow their children to grow with the others in their classes. They simply were naive enough to look at idiotic posts on pages like this and blocked their ability to form their own opinions. If you give your child a chance to take lessons from the instructors here, you will see far past their foundations of ballet; you will see their smiles and evolving love for dance. They do not lie during the award's ceremony at recital while announcing the graduating seniors and promising that TADA's doors will always be open to you. Tammy and Julie are among the wisest women I have ever been blessed knowing and the girls that I danced with are still, to this day, my closest friends. This studio has not only allowed me to find the reasons behind my own personal passion for dancing, but friendships and support that I will receive for the rest of my life.
