Ive been getting facials at Face and Body for years and have always enjoyed them. I made a last minute appointment last week and was able to see my regular facialist. I did get an appointment with Irina whom I had never seen before. I immediately felt uncomfortable with Irina as she spent the several minutes of my appointment grilling me about my skincare routine (all of which had been prescribed by my regular facialist). Irina said the the products I was using were all wrong for my skin and that my skin looked bad. When we finally started the facial it was very rushed and not at all relaxing or enjoyable. There was no massage and Irina talked the entire time about how bad my skin is. She did not even recommend alternative products; just criticised the condition of my skin. At the end of the facial Irina did not use a toner, an eye cream or.a lip balm on me. I left Face and Body very disappointed and defeated. I feel like I was caught in the middle of a professional rivalry between Irina and my regular facialist and Irina took out her frustration on me. I spent the weekend researching spas. Ive slected a new spa where Ill get my next facial in 6 weeks. I will not go back to Face and Body.
