I was shocked that the owner refused to honor a gift certificate that was a couple weeks past the 6 month expiration. First of all, I personally have never had a gift certificate expire in 6 months, so I didn't even realize it was expired. Second, in this economic climate it would've been a wonderful business choice to honor it; especially since I would've spent much more than the gift certificate was worth. (Not to mention, I would've sung her praises for honoring the gift certificate!) Instead, the owner was rude and condescending. At this point, I will be certain to let all of my friends & family know this is NOT a business I will support.
