5 yrs ago i hired, through a general contractor, fritz stonework to put in a patio with brick pavers. over the next 5 years much of the sand under the patio washed out and the patio began to collapse. i contacted fritz through my contractor and was informed that i had a one yr warranty and they had no responsibility for the problem. i hired a new stoneworker at a cost of $1800 to rebuild the patio. when he removed the pavers there was only mud - no compressed rock which is a standard base for such a patio and no fabric liner to prevent the sand from seeping through the retaining wall whenever it rained. unfortunately their totally inadequate installation of the patio revealed itself too late to be under warranty. shame on them for not taking responsibility for such shoddy workmanship. i would never use them again.
