My daughter, destiny ferrell, died Oct. 8, 2010 at Crossroads Hospital. The male mht (males are not allow in girls rooms) that was responsible for my daughter falsified records stating that he check on her every 15 mins when in fact he had not checked on her. He stated in an interview during a state of La. investigation that it was common practice to falisify records. This was the same mht that in May 2010 left 3 adolescent males unattended. The only thing the hospital did was transfere him to the girls side. There wasn't even a hospital policy for cases of abuse/neglict. So many people from the ceo to the rn that was to make patient assignments failed to do their job. How am I to insure that this doesn't happen again. Usually in cases such as this a company like Crossroads, who makes 30 to 50 million in a year can be affected financially. But due to the patient compensation fund which has a cap of 500,000. on suits i don't have that security so I am speaking out in the hopes that people know. Justice for Destiny. God Bless
