Michael Lenton's name was given to us through the Sierra Madre Historical Society as someone attentive to detail and able to work knowledgeably with older homes. He has done some major projects for us--rewiring our electrical, demolishing an old staircase and constructing a new one, that sort of thing--and some smaller stuff too. In each case, we've appreciated the following:
He's always there when he says he'll be there.
He's given us helpful (and accurate!) estimates, with a couple of ways of doing the jobs--including less pricy options that still look great but have saved us some substantial dough.
The work itself is both artistically appealing and rock-solid. We've worked with a number of contractors over the years, and as owners of an historical bungalow it's important for us to have someone we can trust and who we feel we can work with collaboratively. Mr. Lenton is terrific, and we'd recommend his work to anyone.
I note too that there is one negative review here. The experience described here is utterly unlike ours, and while I don't say this is a fabrication, I'd treat this with a grain of salt. We have multiple positive experiences with Mr. Lenton that contradict this account.
