Honestly, we've ordered from OOH LA LA before and we've had great experiences from them but after today's experience, I'll be surprised if our office ever orders from there again! We order 8 dozen cupcakes to send to our clients to show our appreciation so we ordered from OOH LA LA two days in advance for pick-up; we picked up the cupcakes this morning and everyone was very nice, they opened one box to show us the product which looked as it should; we didn't feel the need to have to go through ALL of the boxes to check for quality since we've never had an issue with their cupcakes before. Once we got back to the office, 6 out of the 8 dozens that was ordered were ruined because of the way the boxes/holders were set up. The box and cupcake seperator are two seperate pieces and the seperator did not show adequate to hold up the cupcakes. 6 dozen cupcakes were fallen over in their boxes, icing falling off; we could not present these cupcakes to our clients. Not only would these cupcakes reflect on us, OOH LA LA would also be getting marketing, how would it reflect on them? We contacted OOH LA LA back and explained to them about what had happened to see if they're able to help fix the problem. The manager was very nice and explained that she could refund us or give us 6 dozens new cupcakes (what they currently had in store). I opted to get 6 dozen new cupcakes because we needed to send them to our clients today. The manager later informed us that they would only be able to provide us with 3 new dozens today and 3 on another day, because they've gotten a lot of complaints today about the same situation happening to other customers; we agreed and sent our receptionist to pick the new cupcakes. After agreeing to providing us with 3 dozens today and 3 dozens for another day, the manager called us back to inform us that the OWNER stated that once the cupcake leaves their shop it's out of their hands and that they will only be able to give us 1 more dozen, not 3 as promised. Once the new batch of cupcakes were brought back to our office, it was as they were this morning. flopped over because of the unsturdy holders. This has been the worst experience I've ever had with OOH LA LA and I'm very unhappy with how the situation was handled by the OWNER. Even the manager stated that MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS made the same complaints today. I don't believe our company was being unreasonable, after spending $300+ on cupcakes that weren't presentable. It should have been handled differently from the owner instead shrugging it off and stating ""once it's out of our store, it's out of our hands""; that is just a horrible way to do business.
