(I think reviews should be of the store in question, not the chain, and yes, the Shaws chain can be overpriced if you don't watch the sales or use their Shaws Card....)
This is a fantastic store. I love the customer service level. From the service desk to the managers to the grocery department, you're not going to find a store that equals the friendliness and welcoming attitude. (Save A Lot comes close, but Wal-Mart is no where near...)
The employees are friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to help you. I even had the grocery manager save a purchased bouquet in the back stock room while my ex and I continued shopping at other stores!
The store is very clean and uncluttered, which is nice. The signage and price tags could be better placed and the produce isn't always fresh (mostly in the case of strawberries, but again, compare it to other stores).
All in all, this would be a five-star rating if the price tags were more accurately placed, the signage more accurate (some things are hard to find because the signs lack info on the product type), and a better watch kept on the strawberries and raspberries.
Overall, this store is fantastic. I do most of my shopping there. Particularly for produce and non-staple foods.
