I had been a client at San Fernando Pet Hospital for 15 years, taking all of my pets to Dr. Makkar. Everything had been very good until I had to have my beloved 18 year old cat put to sleep two weeks ago. I chose to have him cremated, and after having to wait two weeks to get his remains back, I was given the WRONG ones!!!!! I called them to tell them what happened and get the crematorium's phone number, and they refused to give it to me. Instead, he tried to convince me that the ashes were my cat's and that they just had the wrong name on them. Then he said he would give me a refund for the cremation. When I said that was not good enough and that I wanted them to find my cat, and that somewhere out there, there was another distraught pet owner missing his/her pet's remains, he had the nerve to offer me a $200.00 credit as well as the refund, and that there was nothing else that could be done. As if money can fix this egregious mistake! I will be finding a new Veterinarian stat!
