CONSUMER WARNING: My wife's Alamo rental was parked on a street while she shopped. Someone else backed their car into the rental. The other driver said his insurance would cover the slight damage. Alamo has just sent us a letter telling us that my wife is responsible for the damage and that we owe Alamo over $2,000 for a car door damaged by another driver. We see no evidence that Alamo attempted to collect from the driver who admitted he was responsible for the damage.
