I wanted to share the recent experience that I had at Finishing Touch Spa. When I saw that there was a Groupon I decided to call and see if they had any weekend openings and made a reservation. I told the lady on the phone that I had purchased the Groupon deal and her attitude towards me became almost immediately impatient when collecting my contact information. Since I live in Fort Collins and I had bought this Groupon for Boulder (1 hr drive), my mom and I decided to make it a shopping day in Boulder.
I was dropped off at Finishing Touch at 2:20 PM for a 2:30 appointment with Tanya (or Tonya?), while my mom went and did some shopping. When I checked in the people were not too friendly and greeted me with “Ohhh you have that Groupon…right…” The receptionist informed me that Tanya was running late and that she would not be available until 2:45 and suggested that I get some ice cream next door! I waited and at 2:50 PM was informed that Tanya had “overbooked” and would not be available until 4:30 PM or that I could have another lady at 4:00PM. They were not apologetic and frankly quite apathetic to the situation. I had to wait until my mom picked me up to pass the time that I had to wait. When I returned for my 4PM appointment I ended up waiting until 4:15. During that time I overheard an employee answer the phone greeting a customer with enthusiasm and displaying a huge change in demeanor when the person on the other end of the line obviously mentioned that they had a Groupon. When the employee got off the phone she commented “Uh it was another Groupon.”
When I was finally seen by the beautician, she was okay but seemed to rush through the cut and the process. At the end I asked to talk to the manager, who they said was not there, which I later found out that that was not the case. My intention in talking to the manager was to explain that I was deeply disappointed with the way that I had been treated and suggest that they make some changes for the other Groupon customers (I went in the day after the Groupon went on sale) if they wanted to have return guests. I was not treated with kindness the entire time that I was there and felt as though I was an annoyance if anything!
The day that my mom and I had planned was ruined due to waiting 3 hours for an appointment that was supposed to take on hour to be over with, lied to, and experienced the worst customer service I have had in my life! It was not like I was having an attitude or anything…. I didn’t even say anything until the end, other then when they pushed my app back I stated "it is unfair that the company charges customers for cancelling their appointments or being too late, yet they don't show the same respect." I also offered the suggestion that they call customers ahead of time if their appointment is running late, especially two hours! I will not be surprised if you get similar feedback from other customers that purchased this Groupon due to my entire experience and the attitude towards the customer on the phone! I will never do business with this company again! DO NOT GO THERE!!!!! I rate this salon WORST in Boulder!
