4-day tour to Cape Cod 9/6/2011

I reserved a 4-day trip to Cape Cod in mid of July for September 1. On the first week of August, Dmitriy - New Tour's employee, called me and asked me to leave a deposit or pay in full. I told him that I would pay on Wednesday, August 10, which I did. On Monday, August 29, a lady from this agency called me and asked if I preferred to share a room with another lady - I paid for single occupancy - I refused. On the same day, I called the hotel which was listed on new tours web-site and where we supposed to stay to find out if I would have lodging in a single room. This was OK. On Tuesday, August 30, Ada, new tours agent, called me after 8PM and left a message on my cell. New Tours office is open till 7PM on weekdays. I returned her call on Wednesday, August 31, at 8AM and she told me they did not have enough people for big bus and I would travel small bus for 16 people or I could switch my trip for Saturday. I told her that I already took days off and they should notified me ahead of time - plus they already made the reservation at the hotel. I told Ada that I did not want to travel in the small bus due to motion sickness. Ada called me at 10AM on Wednesday and tried to convince me to have other tour or have this tour on another day - which was not possible since Tuesday, September 6 was a workday. Ada told me that she had a sick father and because of me she went to work. When I asked her why I was not notified about the bus size on Monday when someone called me about the room, she replied that they cannot provide such info otherwise their boss would fire them. I asked Ada if this bus has a luggage department and she told that she did not know and she needed to find out. I called her around 12PM on the same day and she told me that they would find a space to put my luggage. When I asked what about the luggage of 15 other people, she did not reply. Ada told me that she would call me in 1230 with more info. She did call me. She tried to promise me that she personally would sit me in the bus, without consideration that she would not be able to do so, bus was leaving at 6:45 AM and I my bus pick-up place was not Brighton Beach. I told her that I would cancel my trip and take the money. At 1PM after I told Ada about my decision, Mila - another employee called me and asked me if I want to switch my trip to another day and she also gave me the news about small bus. I went to this agency on Wednesday, August 31, and was managed to get my money back. more
