The U.S. Bureau of Land Management Phoenix District Office manages nearly 2.4 million acres of public land north, west, and south of Phoenix, Arizona. \r

This includes the nearly 1 million acres of public land north of Interstate 10 managed by the BLM Hassayampa Field Office, including the 71,100-acre Agua Fria National Monument. This also includes the 1.4 million acres of public land in south-central Arizona, including the half million acre Sonoran Desert National Monument, located 60 miles southwest of Phoenix. \r

The lands are managed for multiple use and provide diverse recreational opportunities, conservation values, wildlife habitat, mining, grazing, and wilderness, all overlaying a rich cultural past. \r
