Note that the ""good"" reviews were several years ago.... Dad, the restauranteur died leaving it to his son. Service is exceptionally poor with an attitude reflecting a feeling that they are the only game in town.
Massive menu is a reflection of NOTHING being fresh or especially well prepared. Blueberry pancakes actually served as regular pancakes smothered in blueberry pie filling. Toast delivered with one side incinerated but carefully placed burnt side down to hide it. IF YOU CAN'T MAKE TOAST MAYBE IT TIME TO FIND A NEW CAREER. If you as a restauranteur find delivering burnt toast acceptable, you need to sell out and go fishing.
My last visit was with a party of 9, all breakfasts.... Meals were delivered in stages and incomplete.... mine arrived AFTER everyone else was done eating and it wasn't what I ordered. The manager's response was ""I'll take it off the bill..."" and ""If you don't like the service here you need to go elsewhere."" I wish there was a way to give a ZERO rating.
The area isn't filled with good restaurants but Drifters is the worst of the bunch.... drive on by.
