I had done business with Diamond Banque for at least five years which has included purchasing ($800.00 setting) jewelery service (mounting diamond) and loan. \r
I sold my wedding ring to Diamond Banque (not the same ring) since I was going through a divorce. They said that they didn't have much interest in that type of ring, it was 14k white gold with a small row of diamonds and they gave me $60.00 for it.\r
About 30 days later my spouse and I decided not to divorce and I went back into Diamond Banque to purchase the ring back. It was still there and was marked well over $300.00 (I think it was about $360.00) \r
They looked it up and saw that I only received $60.00 a month ago and they said because of the price of gold increase they wouldn't go lower than $250.00. I offered to give them $100.00 (still a $40.00 profit for them in 30 days) they said no way.\r
I checked the 30 day gold market and there wasn't a signifigant raise in the price of gold for that kind of a HUGE profit!!!! (Not to mention NOT a great way to treat a LONG TIME CUSTOMER!!!!) \r
I found a different wedding ring for $160.00 that has larger, better quality diamonds and a similar amount of gold. \r
While it's not my original wedding ring, I now have a better one, but through that experience I now found out what kind of company they are and especially in this economy - THEY DEFINITELY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!! My business will go elsewhere!
