I just returned from Surfside Beach where I had the opportunity to eat at several of the establishments, except Kitty's which I am saddened because it was closed when I went by. But the first place we ate at was The Red Snapper Inn. There were both good and bad points about the place although nothing that would keep me from going back. \r

Bad news first- The only thing that really turned me off about it was the price per glass for wine. I can get a good glass of wine at home for $6. The glass was very small and cost $8. So either buy the bottle or forgo the hooch. Now for the good stuff. I ordered the crab florentine and my friend ordered the Red Snapper a la Greque. We shared the plates and were so full we never even touched the baked potato or broccolli that came with the meal. The prices were what you would expect to pay for seafood. Comparable to Joes Crab Shack or Red Lobster. Our waitress, Barbara, was very sweet and did a good job. They were very busy on a Friday night during dinner rush so we were patient because we could see her working as fast as she could to keep all of her tables up. The decor was nautical simple and i thought it was charnming because most of the items looked like they had been taken from homes of locals in the village. I liked that. Met the manager on arrival and he was polite as well. Good experience overall.
