Very disappointed - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE 8/28/2011

I cancelled a hotel reservation seven days in advance of my stay, more than twice the required time for a full refund, and now, nine days later, I am still waiting for my refund to hit my credit card. The Santa Catalina Island Company is the general overseer of much of the island (hotels, packages, tours, etc.,), and in my estimation, they have nothing LESS than a MONOPOLY called Catalina Island under their control. They do whatever they please whenever they please, because their monopoly power of Catalina Island disallows the standard competitive forces to work favorably for the consumer. They were basically handed the keys to Catalina Island through ""political process"". Want to see the Pacific Coast ? Go to Santa Barbara ! more
