into Pilates Westwood! No, no, there isn't a fire. But you will feel hot -or at least feel the burn in your muscles- after a session here! I love the space and the fact that it is around the corner from my apartment. The Westwood area has had a few studios pop up in the area, but Pilates Westwood is still the frontrunner for professionalism, cleanliness, friendliness, and overall kickbutness. Starting a new exercise regimen is already hard enough, but no one wants to go in and feel like they're being over looked or taken advantage of. This is the place to escape being a ""bill"" and become an actual person. The attitudes in this place is a positive, welcoming one. Re: the exercise itself- I am a Pilates instructor. I'm also a dancer. I also have Scoliosis. So from every direction, I know what my body can do with Pilates. At least, I thought I knew. I swear that the trainer I worked with, Pamela (cutest accent btw), worked muscles I never knew I had. I don't know whether to thank her or send her the bill for the new bikinis I bought due to my enlarged ego. Seriously though, I could tell she knew what she was doing, what I needed to do, and how to get my body to do it. All of the instructors seemed really nice and knowledgeable, I will, however, recommend her to my friends. more
