With hopes of lots of sun, i planned my post wedding reception at Lake Hird Lodge, there is tons to do there, boating, swimming, games, fishing, large outdoor area for hanging out...i didnt want a traditional receotion so this seemed like the best idea to us!!! Turns out-- it was the rainest day of the year-- but that certainly didnt stop anyone from having the best time!!! The views of the lake were still great and with the deck and overhang people were still able to go outside!! Some of the kids even braved it and went out in the rain!! The staff was amazing, they really went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed!! and the food--- saying it was great is an understatement!! People were going up for seconds and thirds!!!! We really did have the best time ever!! It is a day that will never be forgotten!! My guests were equally as happy to be able to hang out with friends and family.. not have to wear a suits or dresses... and eat some great BBQ style foods!!! Needless to say, planning a wedding/party is extremely stressful but these guys made it a breeze!!
