I started renting here before Mandel Group took over management and unfortunately renewed my lease. I really thought Mandel Group would bring upgrades to amenities here, but instead they are ""eliminating"" our security guard/concierge and trying to spin it as a ""security upgrade,"" since we will now how an exterior intercom system.
I have to say... I have a two bedroom apartment on a lower floor and am paying a little more than $2800/month plus $110/month/parking space to now live in a building with horrible management that will not even give you a direct email address - Now, anyone on the street will be able to buzz someone's apartment, pretend to be a neighbor that doesn't have a key card and potentially break into our ""luxury, secure"" building. I signed a lease with the main selling point being a 24/7 security guard/concierge and with less than two weeks notice, the security guards are being fired and my fellow tenants and I now have an ""upgraded security system"" consisting of an outdoor intercom system.
Oh - and by the way, if you forget your access card or happen to lock yourself in the garage, you now have to walk outside to the other tower and hope the concierge will be able to buzz you in because now they are also being asked to deliver packages to pissed off tenants in the North tower that no longer have their packages being delivered to their actual building!
I agree, the views are amazing, but some tenants I know with 3 bedroom apartments are paying almost $4k/month.... NOT WORTH THE MONEY!
I have already written an email asking to break my lease since I signed under the impression I would be living in a secure building.
