I had used Capital Air for more than 5 years - not anymore!
I called them last Friday because my upstairs A/C went out. Told them I had heard the fan on the unit out side making noise and believed the fan bearing had seized up. Guy got out around 2 pm and after testing everything tells me that it's a bad fan motor. OK, I can live with that.
Then he tells me that the fan motor is back ordered and they won't have one until Monday morning!!! - and it's going to be between $350 and $425! Said OK but wasn't happy.
I'm somewhat mechanical and changing a fan didn't scare me so I started to call around to see if I could find a motor. First A/C warehouse I called had ""a bunch of them"". Went and got one. Paid my $89 plus tax. Two hours later we had A/C.
Oh, and when I called to cancel the Monday appointment on Saturday morning, the first questions was if I had one or two A/C units? When I said two, I was informed they don't make weekend calls if we have two units and one is running. I politely informed them that I was cancelling an appointment.
