I like Dr. Reckel, BUT since we have been going to Riviera Opticare for over 3 yrs, the average wait time is over 1.25hrs!! The waiting room is small and the seats extremely uncomfortabe when you are waiting well over an hour. I feel we (my four family members go there) are rushed once we are seen by the doctor. So the waiting time is not worth the quality exam experience. My son's appointment yesterday was at 5:20pm and we did not get our of there office until 7:15pm!! And that was just to order contact lenses-not picking out frames for glasses. The appointment was considered a "medical followup", and with our medical insurance, Riviera Opticare is an out of network provider. I was not informed of this and had to pay a HUGE office visit copay. I feel the whole experience was of a poor and substandard quality. I plan on moving my entire family to a different office due to the wait time, lack of information regarding out of network "medical" conditions, and high prices for frames and contact lenses.
