It seems as though the bartender was not pleased with my tip, which in my opinion was ample. (I used to be in the service industry, so I know how important tipping is.) After paying for a beer and a gin and tonic, the first for me and the second for my fiancee, the bartender came over to us and was verbally abusive, telling me that if I was ""going to tip that little, then why bother tipping at all.""
I will never go back to this establishment again. It is never permissible to verbally assault patrons, especially not if the patrons are sober and well-behaved.
Shamefully bad conduct.
