I received a referral from my local mechanic for a reliable mechanic in Spokane to look at a vehicle I was considering buying. They were very accommodating. I pre-authorized $300 for an inspection. They looked at the vehicle I was thinking of buying, realized how many problems it had almost immediately, and stopped the inspection. I was charged a very nominal fee. They documented everything they found (including pictures), and I was incredibly impressed. Interestingly, the salesman at the dealership where the proposed vehicle came from said that he knew the shop. He said, ""They're really expensive, but they are one of the best in town. My dad used to bring his cars there."" I told him that sometimes you had to pay for quality. It's too bad he wasn't selling a quality vehicle.
