After reading several good reviews of this business, we decided to try and rent some baby items for my grandaughter for an upcoming trip. Because the owners are expecting a baby in July, all reservations needed to be made by July 1st. After sending a request for a quote, I called the business to secure a quote and possibly make a reservation. A voicemail was left that the owner, David had sent a quote. It was my understanding from the voicemail that a reservation could still be made for another couple of weeks. When I called again 2 days ago-the owner begin a tirade where I could not even explain to him what had happened. I was trying to explain to him that if they couldn't do it-I had alternatives-no big deal. He escalated the whole thing to a very uncomfortable situation. By the next day he had called back 5 times threatening to sue me for posting on Yelp, that I was a disturbed and vengeful person. Then a phone call to offer a free rental after I posted on Yelp that I was going to contact the Hawaii Better Business Bureau. Yesterday after 6 calls from him, I finally answered the phone when I got home from work and told him we would not accept his offe, where he proceeded into another bizarre tirade. I hung up and he called AGAIN-this time I let my husband answer and he even yelled my husband. I then called the Maui Police Dept. and filed a harassment complaint. I see he has followed up on all complaints here blaming the poster for his behavior. hmmm...-nice try. But after this many negative reviews and similarities in the posts, I think they speak for themselves. Please do not use this business-the owner is obviously unpredictable. The Maui PD may be your next phone call after trying to deal with this guy.
