Brought two suits to be cleaned and one skirt to be hemmed. They wanted over $20 and a week and a half to just do the hemming, but I was in a rush so I agreed to their prices. I prepaid to get the 15% discount they offer, but now I realize that's just a way for them to keep your money when they do poor work and refuse to stand behind it.
I came back for the items during my lunch break and they couldn't find everything so they asked me to come back. I came back and got the items later and brought them home.
My wife took one look at the pants and realized that Cleanerama had pressed in a double crease. I brought back the items and they said that the manufacturer put in the crease wrong (WTF?). They told me that they would redo it and I would need to come back.
I came back the next day and the creases were fixed, but the side of the pants were all wrinkled! The employee there said I should have come back in the morning when their pressers are there so I could check the work. I guess the customer needs to supervise the employees since they can't press correctly.
I asked for a refund on the pants, which would have been $6.15. The employee wasn't authorized to do the refund, so she needed to call her boss to get clearance. I guess it's too much to ask for a business owner to either:
1. Be present at 2pm on a Friday
2. Empower their employees to make decisions
The owner said that they wouldn't refund my money on the pants because they had ""attempted"" to press them. Hell, I could ""attempt"" to press a pair of pants by stuffing them in a Pringles can and throwing it in the river! It's the RESULTS that count. Any cleaners that can't press a pair of pants in two attempts doesn't deserve my money.
