I went to Dowdy's years ago and was taken advantage of. A lot of time has passed since then and they are conveniently located, so I though I'd try them again. BIG MISTAKE! Once again, taken advantage of. I was overcharged for an alternator and not given credit for the core. I called them when no credit for the core appeared on the statement. After stuttering, Tyler told me that the credit for the core was built into the new alternator. If that's the case, they also built themselves a profit of 80% into the new alternator. I will never go there again. I know a good mechanic across town that I will never again forsake. Stay away from these guys.
