We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Pepper Tree Inn. When we booked the room on the Internet, we chose one of the least expensive options, so while the room was a little small, we consciously selected value over luxury. I appreciated this option! With that said, it was a comfortable room, beautifully decorated in a ""lake cabin"" motif, with amenities such as an in-room coffee pot with a coffee bean grinder, and a microwave and fridge that came in handy. The staff was super nice and helpful. The young lady who checked us in and worked the front desk during the evenings we were there was great -- I wish I had asked for her name! One thing I didn't think about, having never visited Tahoe before, is that air conditioning is not needed most of the year. Hence, our room did not have an A/C unit. When we realized that, we wanted to open windows to get some air moving before we went to bed. The front window was locked (a good thing), and getting it open was a little tricky. I went to the front desk to ask for help. The young lady did not know how to unlock the window, but she made a quick phone call to a co-worker, Aaron, who was not even on duty that night, and he gladly talked me through the process over the phone. Awesome!
