Dr. Atebara and the staff at the Retina Center are the very best in eye care. From the moment I walked into the office I felt I was in very good hands. A good staff makes or breaks a doctors visit. I had the pleasure of meeting them in the summer of 2010. I was getting married in Oahu, but the trip took a turn for the worst as a rare disease made my retinas detach and made hearing difficult. I went to the Retina Center on an emergency basis as I could barely see hand motions. Dr. Atebara's experience and timely response to my symptoms saved me from being permanently blind. After six weeks he stabilized me enough so I could travel back to the mainland, Dr. Atebara is very knowledgeable on alot of specialist throughout the United States.He referred me to a specialist here in Los Angeles who on the first visit may take a few weeks to get an appointment. Dr. Atebara's staff got me an appointment within one week. My family will never forget the care and kindness that I received from them during this scary moment. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Atebara and his staff for saving my vision and preserving my quality of life.
