Mr. and Mrs. John Newton 7/18/2011

On July 2, 2011 we lost the transmission on our Lincoln Navigator, pulling into town on a Saturday night in Marathon, FL. Being late and knowing repair shops would be closed the next day (Sunday) and the following day (Monday the 4th) I asked the receptionist at the hotel to recommend a "good, honest auto repair shop". She told us about STAR MOTORS, and said that her fiance had started to work there just a few weeks earlier. This car trouble meant our vacation would have been ruined. But two wonderful things happened: 1) we were provided a loaner vehicle by one of the employees with which we could tow our jet skis and get around for the next 3 days, and 2) we had a great shop owner who REALLY KNOWS cars (25+ years) and was reasonably priced. He even let us leave our jetskis there in his building until we could return a week later to pick up the car. We had to order a rebuilt transmission and leave to go home in a rental car for the meantime. We picked up the Navigator and jet skis last Thursday and drove home. Everything worked fine! He even replaced the lights on my boat trailer ntaht weren't working properly. Great service! Remember to ask Norman (the owner) for restaurant recommendations. Wow! He gave us a good one! Hope to be back, but next time without car troubles. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this repair shop!!! --John and Ann (and kids) more
