Flanders HVAC is not a good company for your Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) needs. They absolutely overcharge their customers, and they also schedule when it's convenient for them. For example, I always had a Flanders service agreement for heating and air conditioning, but they always scheduled a heating cleaning after the winter. What's the point of that? A heating cleaning should be done before the winter (to ensure proper working order of the furnace when it gets cold).\r

I also have propane heat -- which is apparently a lot cleaner than an oil furnace, so Flanders would sometimes do the heating and AC cleaning at the same time. It only took about 40 minutes!!! It would have been a lot less expensive to NOT have a service agreement and simply have them come out once a year to just clean the furnace and AC. The service agreement is well over $400. A service cleaning is only $140 an hour (as of April 2011).\r
