STAY AWAY!!! I became a patient of Dr. Paige's when my original doctor left the practice. My first visit with her was for my yearly exam. She appeared very non-personal. I felt as though I was just a name on a clipboard to her. But since this was just a pap smear, I figured no biggie...she is just busy. Fast forward about six months later. My hubby and I found out that we were expecting. We go see Dr. Paige with a list of questions in-hand since this would be our first child. The triage nurse greets us with an “everything you need to know” packet and tells us this should answer our questions. Call me crazy, but I thought we would get answers from the doctor, not a pamphlet. During the ultrasound Dr. Paige tells us that she doesn’t see anything and maybe I am not as far along as I thought. She tells us that we will need to comeback in a couple of days for more bloodwork, then she leaves the room for me to get dressed. You can only image the questions that are running through our heads at this point. After I am dressed she comes back in and tells me to have some bloodwork done before I leave and she is gone. Not one time did she ask us if we had any questions, or does she sit us down to tell us what our options are at this point. We left with a bunch of questions and a lot of bad thoughts.\r
Over the next week or so, we found out that we were miscarrying and would have to undergo an outpatient procedure. I never once felt as though she was really concerned about my well-being. No questions of how we were doing or feeling, no “I’m sorry for your loss”..nothing. Even after the procedure when she came in the room during the follow-up appt, she didn’t even sit down. She stood at the door as if this was just a stop-through on her way to somewhere else. \r
The only up-side to this entire event, was that I had this experience early-enough to be able to find a new doctor. She is not someone that ever made me feel welcome, or cared for. Definitely not someone that I could feel truly comfortable with during an upcoming pregnancy. The other reviews about the staff and money are true too. The day we found out about the miscarriage, they were sure to remind us that we had a balance of $10.00 that need to be paid!! Take it for what you want but this is a short-version of our bad horrible experience. There were many more things that happened with Dr. Paige that I left out… \r
