Zorro, my one year old golden doodle went in for his one year check up today. They mailed me a post card for an ANNUAL HEALTH CARE PACKAGE which included a Wellness Exam, 1 year Rabies, Distemper/Parvo/Lepto Vaccine, Heartworm Blood Test, Stool Exam and 10%off a 1 year supply of Parasite/Heartworm Medication. The price $59.95. In my previous experiences at Kirkwood Animal Hospital I was charged for each item starting with a base of $50 for just the priviledge to see the vet and then each service was an add-on which really added up! So........of course, I was waiting for the ol' ball to drop and be told I would have to pay for something that would make me a better dog parent. RIGHT? waiting....waiting ......but NOPE......teeth looked good, check over was good, start him on adult food and as far as the stool and heartworm exams,""NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS ""and with that Zorro got a GOOD BOY snack and I got the bill, and It was the one I signed up for! I should also mention that the staff has always been more friendly to Zorro and I wouldn't want it any other way!
